May You Evolve This Breathtaking Portrait of You
During most of my early life, I lived in a paradigm that life was about the product I produced. Did I produce a good report? Did I do a good job? Etc, etc. Even my image and identity was part of this product, meaning did I have a good resume, did I have enough degrees, did I look good on paper? Yikes! This is what society told me is of value.
Yet, this path led me only towards superficiality. This path reduced me to a two dimensional image. In the end in this paradigm, we become only that which we do, only that which we accomplish… It is one of the greatest brain-washing efforts ever; to direct us on a path away from our own depth.
The younger generation is frequently at odds with this intuitively knowing that something is wrong with this system of evaluation. Yet, again and again they are judged as “not being a good member of society.”
The truth is, the greatest project I will ever produce is ME.
It’s not the physical me, or anything about what I do. It is the experience of me and how I am in the world. True, it may flow outwards to others and into creations, but that is just a collateral effect - almost irrelevant.
I am the greatest accomplishment I will ever have. The me I am becoming is my greatest masterpiece. I’m not saying I’m a masterpiece - lol - just that who I show up as in the world is my personal “Mona Lisa”.
This ever changing self-portrait of me will not be done until the moment I die. Only then, can the “painting” be viewed in its’ entirety. Because until then, I am constantly evolving, constantly making choices about how I want to live and which colors I want to paint with.
When I leave Earth and this lifetime, the only “thing” that goes with me is this ethereal energetic painting of me.
I am the most important creation in my life.
So I must ask of myself “In this moment, what colors do I paint with?”
Am I of love?
Am I of hate?
Am I of judgment or critique?
Am I of depth or am I of superficiality?
Am I of surrender?
Am I of acceptance?
Am I of God?
I am what I am in this moment, the sum of all of the preceding moments. Simple. You are what your are right now. We are only this. And it is our greatest masterpiece…
Here’s too the choice of the self-portrait colors we use today.
May they be of Love. May they be of Light.
May they evolve this breathtaking portrait of you.
