Illogicalness - When the Mind is Broken

You know you have found something of pure Spirit when the mind stops working.   This is your clue.

The mind breaks - it relinquishes its’ command of the ship that is you.

The mind stops because it has crossed over into a terrain that it can not comprehend.

Much material out there tries to re-educate the mind toward this point.  But truly this is impossible.   It would be like trying to re-educate a building to become thin air.  We simply can’t.

However…

We can let go of the building and step into the air.   (yes, yes, I know that is sooooo illogical! … lol)

We hunger for this experience of “no mind.”  Whether we know it or not.

Although the mind can not help us, it is comforting to know that this experience comes in infinite ways.

I had it last night while my partner and I were having a conversation.  I said something and the air stopped and our minds stopped working, both of our minds.  I said of our life, “Something very special is happening here and we need to see it.” We looked blank for a moment.  It was as if the air stopped.   As if time stopped.  As if the mind stopped.

Like the computer that was me, froze.   The screen went blank.

And then it needed to be rebooted… which is humorous if you’ve had it happen.  My mind tries to understand and it’s a bit lost.  I actually often can’t remember what was said.  My mind drifts for a few moments or minutes until it can formulate a coherent thought again.

In essence my mind is broken

Yay

Triumph

For those Intellectuals out there, this will seem terrifying.  (chuckle)

But the mind desires this “time off.”

I have moments like this sometimes when I teach as well.  I drop into a space and words come out of my mouth of their own bidding.  And the air stops and something transpires.  I can reason back to my words, but they are inconsequentlal.

A divine moment.

When I asked Mike, my partner, this morning about how he experienced the moment last night.  He said it was “as if a knife had come and pierced my defenses.”

A divine knife

One we can not protect against.

An arrival of Spirit.

An arrival of unconditional love and truth.

You can ask for a moment like this today.  I’m going to.   Let’s see what happens.
